Where's My Vagabond?

In my craft room where it always is! Sizzix is holding a contest, a real simple one.  Love those!  Post a picture of your Vagabond and you're entered, so I did, and I am!  What's the prize? New stickers for my machine and a new gauge key that helps you decide if what your putting through the machine will work or break the sucker.  Can't go wrong with  that! So here's the pic I submitted along with a very small corner of my craft space.

Wedding Wrap up

I know, I know . . . . been a long time. I rarely write about my family, but I figured you’e want to know where I’ve been. So -  when your daughter comes home in July and tells you:

• “We’re Engaged!”
• “We’re getting married in Key Largo!”  (about 1 ½ hours away)
• “The wedding date is February 25!”  (not 2013, but 2012.  Exactly 199 days away!)

Everything else kind of fades into the background.  This ain’t my first rodeo, I planned and paid for my son’s wedding almost 12 years ago.  But it was in town, and at least they gave me more time! Holy Cow was I busy.  I won’t bore you with the details, let’s just say that if it was made of paper, I designed and created it. Also took care of every single detail except the photographer and DJ. I simply asked what they wanted, asked how much they wanted to be involved in it and made it happen.

One more word – destination weddings are 10 times more difficult to arrange ( and more stressful) than ones in town.  Unknown vendors, unknown hotels, arranging things long distance, it ain’t fun.  With that said, it’s over and we have lots and lots of wonderfull memories, and some great pictures. I’ll share just a few of the candid ones.
We paid for it!
