January Photo Album Class - Version #2

This is another version of the album I'll be teaching in January. I thought I'd show you how different it can look based on the paper and embellishments you use.  The paper for this album is Authentique's Christmastime and I used two 6x6" paper pads in the construction.  I like the smaller pads for these albums because the print scale is smaller and doesn't get lost on the page.  I took lots of photos of the album so you could get a sense of all the real estate there is for pictures.  Enjoy!

January Photo Album Class

There are but a few Craft Shows left in the season and, luckily, I'm not in any of them!  Time to get going on next year’s classes.
Mini-albums are a favorite of mine so I'm starting with a really versatile album that can be adapted to various sizes.
This album holds 25 full sized photos and still has room for plenty of journaling, smaller photos and ephemera that you've collected on your journey.  It's based on envelopes and, once you've mastered the construction, you can change the size of the album based on the size of your envelopes!

The class will be held on Friday, January 29 and again on Saturday, January 30. Cost of the class is $25 and it’s a “bring your own supplies” class. In other words, you supply the scrapbook paper and cardstock you want to use to construct the album. Interested in joining us? Shoot me an email at barbara33331@yahoo.com.

Halloween Treat Boxes Galore!

Thought you might like to see some of the results of the last class. We used Tim Holtz Matchbox die, the small rosette die, some Movers and Shapers dies and some punches. They brought their "stash" of Halloween goodies to make their boxes their own. I think they're quite creative! Next Crop is August 20 & 21.  Next class is the two-day Potions Bottles Class on September 3 & 4.

Sizzix Mini-Album Class - The Horizontal Version!

Update: This class is FULL! E-mail me if you'd like to be put on the waiting list in case there's a cancellation.

Here is an example of what we'll be creating on Friday, May 8 in the Sizzix Mini-Album Class.  This is a variation of the Envelope Album class we made at the beginning of April. As you can see, we'll be exploring bookbinding and book signatures.  It'll be another "bring your own paper" so everybody's album will be different!  If you're interested in joining us, send me an email or leave me a comment in this post.  Cost of the class is $15 and includes lunch!

Hope you can join us!

Valentine Treat Dish and Decorative Stick Pins

Here's an oldie but a goodie and an easy, inexpensive way to bring some holiday magic into your home.  It starts out as a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock, some scrap paper, scrap ribbon and a large binder ring.

Ingrigued? I'll be teaching it on Friday, February 6. Class starts at 10 am  and it'll take about an hour.  Cost is $2.  If you're interested, let me know through a comment on this blog.
On the same day, I'll also be playing around with some jewelry beads and hat pins.  I'll be creating decorative stick pins to use with page lay-outs and mixed media items.
You're invited to join me!  Here's an example of what yours could look like.
Class cost is $15.00.  You'll be making 5 pins and all supplies are included.  I'll also share supply sources for beads and raw materials and some tips on putting together great pins. Feel free to bring your own bead supply, the more the merrier!
