Coffee and Cream

Many of you know that I sell what I make on ETSY. If you've never visited the site, you need to.  I describe it as EBay for artists.  Just like Pinterest, it can be addicting! It includes artist from all over the world in categories from jewelry to woodwork. It's fun to look at what's out there and be inspired by what you see.

I also make it a point to buy on ETSY in support of my fellow artists.  I get lots of supplies there, unique or hard to find goodies right at my fingertips! Great for pinning onto that other addiction, Pinterest! And I always make it my first stop when looking for gifts for my teenage grand daughter with the very specific tastes.  Doesn't hurt that she's on the site too and can "Heart" items she loves. I get notified and have a ready list of birthday gifts and "just because" surprises that come her way.

One of the neat things about ETSY is that you can create a "Treasury," a group of 16 items that have a common theme that is outstanding ( to your mind) in some way.  Here's an example of a great Treasury, enjoy!

Dream Album

I'm still exploring album ideas and covers.  This one was made using the rest of the papers from my daughters wedding album!  Love the colors and patterns - modern and vibrant.
Cover was created using Wendy Vecchi's Large Creative Covers, scrapbook paper and sticky-back canvas that I inked with Distress Stain and stamped with paint. This cover comes together so quickly and can be altered to suit any type album. The sentiment was done using my Cricut. It's closed using a 7 Gypsies elastic and a Tim Holtz knob.  It's embellished with a Holtz Muse Token.

Binding is with Holtz' Ring Binder (love those!)

Pockets were created using tissue tape on the edges of folded paper, so simple.  Some are side entry and others enter from the top, its just a matter of where you place the tape.  I used Holtz' Tiny Tabs & Tags for the tabs on the pages.
Flowers were created using the Tattered Flower Garland Die.  They were assembled with brads.

I used large eyelets to re-inforce the page binding.  Love it, it's for sale! Check out my ETSY Shop.

Caught On Camera!

Couldn't wait to share the latest album with you.  This one is so versatile! It'll work as a gift for Father's Day, Mother's Day, New Parents, or as a great family album to document your kid's lives.

This Gatefold Album uses BoBunny's Mamarazzi paper line.
I used lots of camera icons and related ephemera to carry the theme through the pages.
Lots of pockets and tags for more photos or for your journaling.
A fold-out tucked in the last page of the album holds five more full sized photos.
Chipboard pages that will hold up to lots of page-turning.
Lots and lots of places for photos and journaling.

Had fun creating it too!

Been working on albums in the studio lately, exploring binding techniques and playing with envelopes.  Here's one that's perfect for the summer. Look for a full description on my ETSY site. Enjoy!
