Stationer's Desk Lay Out

Last Sunday the Team from Paper Niche got together to create items from some of the new Prima and  KaiserCraft lines just released at CHA. I spent the time playing with the new Stationer's Desk papers from Prima.
My inspiration was a  design by Frank Garcia that he shared through Prima UTube. The next time you're in Paper Niche, check out the wall behind the cash register, it's filled with Prima and KaiserCraft goodness!

7 Gypsies Travel Album

As promised, here's the second vertical 7 Gypsies album I created.  This one's themed for travel and vacations. The paper is from Bo Bunny's Weekend Market line.  Love the vintage feel to it and it lends itself to lots of inky goodness.  The cover is layered with the Tim Holtz distressed doily die, a 7 Gypsies ticket and "Life is Good" book cover that's been misted with Perfect Pearls in Antique Gold.  It's finished with Prima flowers misted with some copper Perfect Pearls, some Prima metal swirls, and my latest obsession: Prima's Say It In Crystals Adhesive Gems. Love them! It's up for grabs on my ETSY site, enjoy!

Family Goodness

When it comes to color palettes, one of my favorites is creams, browns and muted black. So while waiting for Prima's new Cartographer Collection (lots of cream, brown and black goodness) to arrive at Paper Niche, I revisited their Engraver's Collection.  I love Engravers because it can be used with contemporary or vintage photos.  I used this line when it first came out to create a wall hanging the hangs in my foyer. You can see more photos of  that creation HERE.  I love it so much I re-created it and it's now for sale in my ETSY Shop.  Enjoy!

Life is Good!

Recently, I’ve been playing around with a chipboard album from 7 Gypsies.  It comes as bare-naked chipboard, but really heavy so it will stand up to lots of inking, layering and handling.
I used lots of 7 Gypsies tags, paper and stickers and the base paper is from Glitz Design.

What I like about this album is that the orientation is vertical, and I wanted to challenge myself to create something with that as a parameter. It's got lots of vintage, inky goodness. Enjoy!

While I was designing this the wheels were turning (hard to turn that part of my brain off!) with an idea for another album with a vertical orientation. That one's finished too and ready to be put up for sale on my ETSY site, but first I have to find the time to photograph it! Hope to have that one posted next week.  Stay tuned!

Where did January go?

Holy Cow did time get away from me!  CHA got me really excited to  teach again and I've been busy designing, creating and ordering.

I'll be at Paper Niche on Saturday, February 22 from 10:30 - 12:30 doing a Make N' Take using two of Tim Holtz Embossing Folders.  We highlighted embossing folders this month and the February 8 Make N' Take saw lots of activity.  Stop by on the 22, make this cute card and see what you can do with embossing folders!
